TWO BROTHERS DIVE BAR layers photographic fragments, paint and collage into a haunted domestic tableau. Portraits of the artist’s father and younger uncle — captured at water’s edge and atop a diving board — are occluded and overpainted, framing affection and threat as inseparable. The work reads memory as sediment: intimacy braided with violence, nostalgia with reckoning.
